Welcome back Kings Park Botanical Gardens

BGPA is looking forward to the 2026 Perth Garden Show, with a range of exciting activations planned from across the organisation.

They are thrilled to be presenting an Achievable Garden in the Water Corporation Garden Design Zone. 25 square metres of resilient WA native species, including the Kings Park Favourites range. Showcasing simple garden design using climate resilient, ornamental plants that are available in the nursery trade, along with a variety of recycled materials ensuring achievable sustainability is at the heart of this design. Take a look and get some great ideas for your garden!

Directly opposite at Site 24 in the BGPA marquee, Kings Park Science will present an interactive display showcasing the multidisciplinary research projects happening across the State that protect the rich biodiversity of Western Australia, from gardening in the ocean to fighting invasive plant pathogens. Discover the science that supports resilient landscapes in a changing climate and learn about Kings Park Science’s advances in flora restoration through tissue culture, seed banking and seagrass restoration.

Friends of Kings Park volunteers will be on hand to chat about growing native plants at home and what it’s like to volunteer in Kings Park. They will also be bringing along a special selection of native plants from their nursery, with a few exclusively available to new Friends of Kings Park members who sign up on the day!

An exciting pop-up display from Aspects of Kings Park will feature a range of gardening products including aprons, gloves, kids’ gardening tools, books, seeds, cards, vases, hats and lots of other garden-related goodies showcasing the work of local artisans.

Kings Park Education will be offering some wonderful activities for kids including colouring-in, printing with gumnuts and decorating tags to attach to take-home bags of Everlasting seeds. There will also be an exploration table themed around Resilient Landscapes to keep little hands busy!

And as always, the Kings Park Horticulture team will be on hand to answer any of your native flora and gardening questions.

Visit them at Site 24, there will be plenty to see and learn and they’d love to meet you!
